Pro Gear 85W-110 is designed for a wide range of applications, including:

• Manual gearboxes and hypoid differentials of competition vehicles, passenger cars, and 4WDs.
• Light and heavy-duty commercials, trucks, and buses.
• Agricultural and earthmoving equipment.
• Harley Davidson FL/FX series motorcycle transmissions.

It can be used in applications where SAE 80W-90 or SAE 90 gear oil is required or where a thicker oil film is needed, especially in consistent high-temperature operations or under extreme loads. Pro Gear 85W-110 can replace SAE 140 or 85W-140 gear oils in differentials, offering enhanced load-carrying capacity and potentially lowering running temperatures due to its viscosity and friction-reducing properties.

In industrial gearboxes requiring API GL-3, ISO 320, or 460 oil, as well as in worm gears, Pro Gear 85W-110 provides longer gear set life. It can also be used in truck and bus differentials and gearboxes (excluding Spicer), potentially extending oil drain intervals and providing enhanced protection in hot environments where SAE 80W-90 oils may be insufficient.

However, caution is advised when using Pro Gear 85W-110 in applications prone to water contamination, as its additive system is water-soluble and may lead to seal degradation.
