The reverse light switch is a mechanical / electrical device used to control operation of the vehicle reverse lights when reverse gear is selected. (manual transmission only). A faulty reverse light switch may cause the reverse lights to be inoperable, or alternatively remain permanently on. The reverse light switch must be compatible with the vehicle, always refer to the vehicle application list to ensure correct part number selection.
