The DRV-A501W is equipped with 3.7 Megapixel, Wide Quad Wide Quad Hi-Vision recording and 3.0" Full Colour TFT. Easily share recorded videos directly to social media using the KENWOOD DASH CAM MANAGER smartphone application (iOS or Android).

The KENWOOD VIDEO PLAYER is a desktop software for displaying video recorded with this device (Windows & Mac). The camera is equipped with a G-Sensor designed to detect a collision, and GPS that records speed, latitude, and longitude.

When the vehicle is parked and turned off, parking mode becomes active (CA-DR1030 required). In Dual Camera Recording Mode with optional KCA-RC100, both cameras maximum recording resolution is 2.0 Megapixel. The camera works with both 12V and 24V applications. MicroSDXC/SDHC card 8GB to 256GB are supported, 16GB micro SD card is included.

• DRV-A501W / DRV-A601W comes with a screen that perfectly fits its camera, without any loss of resolution. This design allows you to use the playback feature, instantly letting you view the shot you just captured. Play back and confirm the high quality videos from your drive on the large 3.0” full colour screen. Thanks to the intuitive GUI including large and legible text, operations can be performed with ease.

Wireless Smartphone Link:

• The Kenwood Dash Cam Manager app allows you to easily change the menu settings of your dash cam and browse through recorded videos as well as real-time live view from your smartphone in an intuitive way. By downloading the video / photo files into your smartphone, you can even review them while routing on Google Maps with the GPS information such as speed, G-sensor and distance, and edit the videos to share them on social media. Download the app from App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android) on your smartphone.
• The desktop software “Kenwood Video Player” is available for displaying video recorded with the device. You can also play back, edit and share the videos on your PC.

DRV-A501W - Wide Quad HD Recording — 1.8 times as many pixels as Full HD:

3-Axis G Sensor & GPS Receiver:

• When the built-in G-sensor with adjustable sensitivity detects any sudden motion, the dashboard camera will automatically save and lock the recording to protect it from being deleted. The integrated 3-axis sensor records G-force which shows the direction and the strength of possible impact. With the accurate speed and location data supplied by the built-in GPS receiver, the dashboard camera will keep track of your vehicle’s physical location to show the route travelled and speed you were going on playback with the desktop software or the wireless smartphone link app.

Smart Parking Mode:

• When your vehicle is parked and turned off, the Smart Parking Mode becomes active. If your vehicle is subject to a collision or other physical impacts, your dash cam powers on thanks to the built-in G-Sensor and automatically records 30 seconds of video. The hardwired kit CA-DR1030 (optional accessory) is required for permanent power.

Super Capacitor (Backup Battery):

• This prevents the video file being recorded from being corrupted if power is lost due to a collision or other physical impacts, as it provides enough power to allow the file to save properly.

2-Ways to Mount:

Polarise Filter — Reduces Front Windscreen Reflection:

• DRV-A700W/ DRV-A601W/ DRV-A501W include a Polarizer Filter. This reduces such things as dashboard reflection on the windscreen, which may appear in certain positions or due to weather conditions, and helps to lessen glare on sunny days, making it possible to record clear outside images.

Front & Rear 2 Camera Recording:

• By connecting the optional rear camera KCA-R100 it is possible to record front and rear directions simultaneously, both in Full HD quality. The optional rear window camera KCA-R100 offers all-round protection to guard against everything from tailgaters and rear end impacts, to knocks and bumps in a car park. It uses a 161° ultra-wide viewing angle to capture the whole road behind. The compact rear window camera KCA-R100 has a 180° rotational lens for easy installation and can easily be connected to your compatible DRV-A501W camera via a 8m long cable. When you connect the rear window camera KCA-R100, the resolution of your dashboard camera DRV-A501W will automatically adjust to manage two Full HD resolution video files.
