Odyssey AGM 12V 500CCA Extreme Motorcycle Battery - PC1100
The PC1100 is used extensively in rally cars and endurance race cars, where greater AH capacity is required.
This battery is one of only two models that come with 6mm studs the other is the PC950.
This battery was called Extreme Racing 40 but is now part of the Odyssey series now called a ODS-AGM40E.
We have seen substantial growth in the range of Odyssey batteries (from EnerSys), with this development we have seen both an increase in the products available but also a change in the product codes and the marketing segmentation.
As an example, here in New Zealand, we originally only imported the PC680MJT model (Metal Jacket and Terminals) it was commonly referred to as PC680 battery. Later we offered these model batteries without the MJT, as being popular with the Aviation industry and imported Aircraft industry. The same has happened with the PC925 variations.
Many models included the Extreme Series tagline, Performance Series, or PowerSport to help define applications, but people use batteries for so many applications this description wasn't enough. With the introduction of new BCI sizes like the 48-720 with traditional housings and mounting feet wedges for OEM installations and DIN sizes.
