Application:

• Gear Oil 140 is designed for use in differentials, both hypoid and limited slip, in passenger cars, light commercials, 4WDs, trucks, construction, earth moving and agricultural equipment where such a viscosity grade is required. Many Nissan 4WDs are recommended to use an SAE 140 oil in the rear differentials (check Penrite Recommendation Guide).
• It is particularly recommended in higher ambient conditions, or for quietening noisy differentials where the noise is due to wear, thus prolonging the life of the unit before rebuild is required.
• Gear Oil 140 provides a superior level of protection in heavy duty applications, where shock load conditions can be extreme. The multi-purpose formulation allows greater flexibility while minimising inventory levels, especially for differential applications.
• For competition, consistent high temperature or extreme high load operation, fully synthetic Pro Gear 80W-140 should be used.
