Penrite DPF Aerosol Cleaner is a practical and efficient solution for maintaining diesel engines, enhancing fuel efficiency, and preventing power loss due to DPF issues.
It is effectively cleans Diesel Particulate Filters (DPFs) without dismantling, extending their life and restoring engine performance. This metal-free formula resolves DPF clogging, reduces fuel consumption, and prevents power loss, leaving no residue after evaporation.
Features:
- Easy DPF Cleaning.
- Restores Performance.
- Metal-Free Formula: Metal free and does not leave any residue after evaporation.
- Resolves Clogging Issues: Resolves DPF clogging and the associated symptoms like increased fuel consumption and power loss.
Application:
- P26 DPF Cleaner Aerosol is designed for use in all diesel engine vehicles fitted with a DPF in passenger cars, 4WDs, light and heavy duty commercial vehicles.
- P26 DPF Cleaner Aerosol is used to easily regenerate clogged or heavily soot contaminated DPFs and can be used as a solution or preventative measure. It should be used at the first sign of a blocked or heavily soot loaded DPF. This is usually identified by a warning light on the dashboard of the vehicle.
Instruction for use:
- Let the engine and DPF cool down until it is safe to touch before using P26 DPF Cleaner Aerosol, the ideal temperature is between 10 Deg. C – 40 Deg. C
- Remove either the front pressure sensor hose from the particulate filter or the temperature sensor.
- Shake the can of P26 DPF Cleaner Aerosol thoroughly and connect the flexible tube to the aerosol can.
- Insert the tube of the aerosol in through the Pressure Sensor or the Temperature Sensor opening with the spraying direction towards the filter.
- Spray the product into the DPF in bursts (3 to 5 times), with intervals of 5 minutes between bursts until the entire contents are used.
- Let the product soak for a minimum of 30 minutes
- Reconnect the Pressure Sensor hose or the Temperature sensor.
- Place an oil pan or suitable container under the outlet of the exhaust system.
- Start the engine, dirty water (contaminated with soot and ash) will drip out of the exhaust pipe. Let the engine idle until the dripping stops.
- Perform a manual regeneration cycle with a diagnostic tool or drive the vehicle for 20-30 minutes at higher engine speeds than normal as this will heat up the DPF and assist in regeneration.
- If necessary, clear error messages with a Diagnostic or Scan Tool.
- To maximise the cleaning of the DPF, Penrite suggest adding a bottle of Penrite Enviro+ DPF Cleaner to the fuel following the aerosol cleaning as this will lower the burning temperature of the soot and assist in a more complete regeneration of the DPF.
Please Note: If the DPF light continues to stay light after the treatment and regeneration, we suggest taking the vehicle to an authorised workshop or service centre for professional assistance.
