The Aerpro CHBM9C Steering Wheel Control Interface (SWC) is specifically designed to upgrade your BMW’s headunit while retaining the functionality of the factory steering wheel controls. This interface is compatible with BMW vehicles equipped with Business Headunits and OEM Amplified Systems, excluding those with Harmon Kardon systems.

  • Steering Wheel Control Interface
  • Vehicle-Specific Wiring Harness
  • Installation Instructions

Features:

  • Allows you to upgrade to an aftermarket head unit whilst maintaining use of your factory steering wheel controls
  • Increases driver safety by allowing you to keep your hands on the steering wheel and eyes on the road
  • Supports OEM Phone Button when connected to compatible aftermarket Bluetooth head units
  • Suitable for vehicles with BMW Business Head units and OEM Amplified Systems (excluding Harmon Kardon)
  • Fitted with a vehicle specific plug, no cutting of wires required
  • Recommended to be installed with an Aerpro APP9 Head unit Secondary ISO Harness & SWC Patch Lead (sold separately)
  • Requires SWC patch lead to provide compatibility with the aftermarket head unit (sold separately)

  • BMW 3 Series 1998-2005 E46 (Head unit Dependant)
  • BMW 5 Series 1996-2004 E39
  • BMW X5 2000-2006 E53

Note:

  • Aftermarket head unit must be SWC compatible
  • SWC patch lead is also required to enable SWC (sold separately)
  • Analogue control harness, does not provide VSS, handbrake or reverse trigger outputs
  • Suitable for vehicles fitted with BMW Business Head units
